I don't think any other album makes you feel grief so intensely and accurately. Phil really reminds us with every word and every metaphor that death is a very real, very painful thing. SentimentalAnemic
Guitar/drum duo King Brown crank out anthemic sludge rock with a devious attitude, building up beefy hooks just to torch them with a sneer. Bandcamp New & Notable May 26, 2021

This album is bipolar in emotional content: some songs being so sweet I feel like I'm sinking my teeth into tender pastry, and some songs being so heart-wrenching that I want to curl up into a ball (similar to how I feel after eating a pastry). All jokes aside, I adore this album and never skip a single song on the whole thing. My favorite Mitski record. Graham George
